3 Tips to Stay Ahead, Execute Faster, Stay Relevant

1. Stay Ahead – Experiment before you need to
I stay ahead by building AI agents in my spare time, well before clients asked about them. I particularly love experimenting with Generative AI to hone my profession of strategy execution. You don’t need to predict every trend. But you do need to keep experimenting. If you’re unsure where to start, try an AI assistant or chatbot in one of the tech apps you already use. They have suddenly become much more sophisticated and useful. Or download Perplexity on your phone, a free research tool. Click the microphone at the bottom right, and talk to it, ask a question about something you want to know, like a report on your competitor’s strategy.
2. Execute Faster – Simplify your projects
Executing faster is not about rushing. It means identifying and removing the small blockers that waste time and energy, and figuring out how to save time. I usually use generative AI as a starting point before I begin a task, such as drafting outlines when I prepare a keynote talk. Instead of starting from a blank page, I begin with a structured idea that I can refine quickly. This saves me hours each week for deeper thinking and higher-value work.
3. Stay Relevant – learn, connect, and share
We stay relevant through continuous learning and connection. By consuming, contributing, and sharing insights within the right circles. That is why I created The Turbochargers Hub, a community where transformation leaders meet to discuss topical issues. Together, we explore how to use AI safely and strategically, while strengthening culture and fast-tracking execution. A few of the ideas appear in my newsletters. Maybe 5%.
