I believe that 2025 is going to be the year that AI begins to make a significant contribution to enterprise value.

As we’ve got through most of the excessive hype cycle (we hope!) , and business leaders get comfortable with the risk involved in activating AI in their organizations, we will see more ubiquitous us of Generative AI, and usage of Agentic AI. This is where we use AI not just as a chatbot or in workflow automation, but where AI functionality is embedded into enterprise applications to deliver valuable goal-driven work with less human intervention.

Critical to this is the ability to navigate human change. I have said to several executive roundtables where I’ve been the guest speaker: “AI is not an AI problem to solve. AI is a change management problem to solve”. Below I provide 3 tips for addressing the human change dimensions.

If you haven’t already done so, below are some ways you can get more business value from AI faster.

Register here to attend the AI Strategy Mavericks Global Panel event (complimentary, via Zoom).  You can also join the LInkedIn event list and see who else is attending.

Participate in the Pre-Panel dialogue here (hosted by CircleLytics ACI platform, it’s like a leading-edge survey-technique for strategic dialogues on steroids).

Please forward this to others who can benefit.

3 Tips for Accelerating your AI Strategic Value by addressing human change:

  1. Encourage idea sharing – Many staff are already experimenting with AI, but don’t have an incentive to share their insights. Ethan Mollick from Wharton calls them the “Secret Cyborgs”. You can encourage them to share ideas by creating forums that showcase these innovators who are leading the way.

  2. Reward experimentation – Organizations should start with a basic AI policy and encourage experimentation openly. Consider an award for those who come up with the best ideas, those who Josh Bersin call the “Superworkers”.

  3. Navigate your culture effectively – If organisations fail to put in place an AI policy, then risk aversion will delay a coherent, strategic approach to adoption of AI organisation-wide, delaying many of the benefits. Some organizational cultures slow down adoption, particularly those that are risk-averse. In these cultures, it is absolutely critical that people feel comfortable that risks are mitigated. There are ways to navigate these cultures effectively so you can still make good progress. I’d be happy to explore this further with you.
